En handgjord bro som är tillverkad av vävt gräs. Gräset krossas för att få en speciell struktur och för att bli så hållbart som möjligt. Växterna flätas till hållfasta rep som man kan gå på. Broarna var smala då man inte hade några hjulförsedda transportmedel utan var till för människor och boskapsdjur. De var väldigt viktiga för infrastrukturen då det annars blev stora omvägar runt floder och berg. Broar av denna typ har byggts på traditionellt ”inka-sätt” i flera århundraden.
Detta är ett bevis på inkafolkets imponerande ingenjörskonst. Däremot var det ingen stor hit att reparera broarna då det ofta resulterade i dödsfall.
